All About JEE (Advanced) - 2013: Syllabus and Previous Papers and Important Dates
All the candidates aspiring to take admission in the undergraduate programmes at IITs and ISM Dhanbad, for the year 2013 will have to appear in the Paper-1 of JEE (Main) - 2013, which will be conducted by JEE Apex Board during the month of April, 2013 (both online and offline). After the declaration of the scores of JEE (Main) - 2013, the top 1,50,000 candidates (including all categories) are required to register online at http://jeeadv.iitd.ac.in to appear for the JEE (Advanced) – 2013. A fee of Rs.1800/- (Rs.900/- for SC, ST, PD and no fee for all female candidates) has to be deposited between 8th and 13th May, 2013 in any branch of State Bank of India having Core Banking Services.
The last date to register for JEE (Advanced) - 2013 (along with the required information and applicable fee) is 13th May, 2013.

According to a press statement released on 24th September, 2012, GMAT exam volume for the 2012 testing year (01st July, 2011 to 30th June, 2012), was up 11 percent from the 2011 testing year. This was also 8 percent higher than the previous record of 265,613 in 2009

Criteria for Awarding Junior Research Fellowships Out of the 43957 candidates qualified for Lectureship eligibility (including JRF), 29780 candidates had applied for JRF, while the slots available for JRF are 3200. These 3200 fellowships have to be distributed among the 29780 candidates who come under the consideration zone for JRF. In order to restrict the number of JRF awardees to around 3200, a

ICET 2012 Counseling dates have been announced by Andhra Pradesh State
Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The ICET web counseling 2012 for
admission to MBA and MCA programmes in University, aided and unaided
colleges in Andhra Pradesh will commence from 12th October 2012.
Following are details of certificate verification, exercise of web
options and seat allotments.

Age Limit : 18 – 33 years as on 01.01.2013 (Relaxation : SC/ST – 5 yrs

Selection Procedure : Selection will be based on MERIT only. First
there will be Written Examination. Candidates to a limited extent, in
order of merit, out of those who obtained the prescribed minimum pass
marks in Written Examination will be called for Physical Efficiency
Test (PET). Those who will qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test
(PET) will have to go through the original document verification.
Candidates who will found eligible after Physical Efficiency Test
(PET) will be called for Medical Examination of relevant standard as
shown against each category of post at Page-1 of this notification.
There will be no interview.
Syllabus for Examination : The question paper for the written
examination shall be based on Class 10th standard consisting of
multiple choice objective type questions aimed to assess General
Knowledge/Awareness, Mathematics and Reasoning etc. There will be no
question for checking proficiency in language. Questions will be in
Hindi, English, Oriya, Urdu and Bengali.
Examination fee : Rs.40/- For General and OBC Candidates (NO Fee for
SC/ST/Women/PH/minorities and economically backward classes
having income less than Rs 50,000/‐ p.a) – The Examination fee
should be paid in the form of crossed Demand Draft from State Bank Of
India or any other Nationalized Bank or crossed IPO from any Post
Office drawn in favour of the "FA&CAO, South Eastern Railway, 11
Garden Reach Road , Kolkata-700043 payable at "KOLKATA".
