PGEC 2011 Notification for GATE / GPAT Candidates - M.Tech. M.Pharm Admissions in AP

APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education Education (APSCHE) has issued notification for GATE / GPAT qualified candidates for admission into various PG Professional courses in Andhra Pradesh. Seats remain vacant after filling through GATE 2011 / GPAT 2011 qualified candidates will be filled through PGECET 2011 qualified candidates. Details of application process, eligibility, counseling process and important dates are given below. Interested candidates can download Offline application from www.apschepgec.net .Admission into Post Graduate Engineering , Pharmacy and other Courses for 2011-12 in University and affiliated engineering and pharmacy colleges in Andhra Pradesh will be through notification. Following are other details of PGEC 2011 notification:

PG Courses available for GATE / GPAT candidates:

1. M.E. / M.Tech.
2. M.Pharm.
3. M.Architecture.
4. M. Planning
5. Graduate level Pharm D. (P.B.) - Full Time course

There will be separate counseling for these candidates. Seats remain unfilled after allocation to GATE / GPAT qualified candidates will be filled with PGECET 2011 qualified candidates based on their ranks.

Post- Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET-2011) is likely to be conducted from 6th June 2011. Notification will be issued by APSCHE on behalf of Osmania University for admission to PG courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, D.Pharm., Architecture and Planning disciplines in all Govt., Private Aided and Un-Aided Engineering and Pharmacy colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Candidates should have passed in B.E/ B.Tech./ B.Pharm./ AMIE/ B.Arch./ B.Planning in the relevant discipline to apply for PGECET 2011. GATE/ GPAT qualified candidates need not appear for PGECET 2011 and separate notification will be released for them.

5. Private Unaided Colleges (Pharm D): Rs 68000

6. Private Unaided Colleges (M.Pharmacy): Rs. 110000

7. Private Unaided Colleges ( ME/ M.Tech./ M. Arch./ M.Planning): Rs. 57000

Important Dates of PGECET 2011:

1. Start of sale of applications: April 2011

2. Last date for sale and receipt of applications: May 2011

3. Last date with late fee of Rs.500: Second Week of May 2011

4. Last date with late fee of Rs. 2000: Last week of May 2011

5. PGECET-2011 Exam date: From 6th June 2011.

Update on 30th December 2010: Dates of EAMCET 2011, EDCET 2011, ECET 2011, ICET 2011 have been announced by AP Higher Education Council today. All these CETs will be conducted by the universities those have taken the responsibilities for 2010-11. Dates of PGECET 2011, LAWCET 2011 will be released shortly. Detailed notifications with eligibility requirements, applications procedure, old papers, 2010 cut offs / last ranks in various colleges will be available on this blog. Earlier News: Dates for all common Entrance Tests such as EAMCET 2011, EDCET 2011, ICET 2011, PGECET 2011, LAWCET 2011, PGLCET 2011 will be finalised on 29th or 30th December 2010. CHairman of AP State Council of Higher Education has announced this and informed that CETs dates will be decided based on other exams like IIT JEE, AIEEE and other competitive examinations. It is most likely that EAMCET 2011 will be conducted during second week of May 2011. The Govt. also considering coduct of EAMCET 2011 in the First week of May 2011 itself if all the conditions are allowed.

Initially EAMCET 2011, ICET 2011 and Edcet 2011 dates will be announced. Dates of PGECET 2011, LAWCET 2011 will be confirmed later in the first or second week of January 2011. Detailed notifications of various CETs, application procedure and model / previous papers will be made available on this blog soon after the release of official notifications.
