Educational News :NDA Entrance Exam (I) 2013 National Defence Academy - Navel Academy

Last date for receipt of applications: 21st January, 2013 Monday

An examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service
Commission on 07th April, 2013, Sunday for admission to the Army, Navy
and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 131st course, and for the 93rd
Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC)
The candidates Joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years
B.Tech course and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and
Technical Branches of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies
The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of
this examination will be 355 (195 for the Army, 39 for Navy, 66 for
the Air Force and 55 for Indian Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry
Scheme) - Check final Notification from 22nd December 20
Vacancies are provisional and may be changed depending on the
availability of training capacity of National Defence Academy.

All About JEE (Advanced) - 2013: Syllabus and Previous Papers and Important Dates

JEE (Advanced) - 2013

All the candidates aspiring to take admission in the undergraduate programmes at IITs and ISM Dhanbad, for the year 2013 will have to appear in the Paper-1 of JEE (Main) - 2013, which will be conducted by JEE Apex Board during the month of April, 2013 (both online and offline). After the declaration of the scores of JEE (Main) - 2013, the top 1,50,000 candidates (including all categories) are required to register online at http://jeeadv.iitd.ac.in to appear for the JEE (Advanced) – 2013. A fee of Rs.1800/- (Rs.900/- for SC, ST, PD and no fee for all female candidates) has to be deposited between 8th and 13th May, 2013  in any branch of State Bank of India having Core Banking Services.

The last date to register for JEE (Advanced) - 2013 (along with the required information and applicable fee) is 13th May, 2013.

The number of MBA aspirants taking the GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test) has gone up by 11 percent in the past one year, reports CSR

According to a press statement released on 24^th September, 2012, GMAT exam volume for the 2012 testing year (01^st July, 2011 to 30^th June, 2012), was up 11 percent from the 2011 testing year.  This was also 8 percent higher than the previous record of 265,613 in 2009

Indian citizens, the third-largest citizenship groups, took 30,213 GMAT exams, a figure that increased 19 percent in 2012

UGC NET JRF Exam June 2012 Category-wise Qualifying Criteria for Lectureship Eligibility in UGC-NET held on 24th June 2012 by University Grants Commission for Jr. Research Fellowship and eligibility 2012.

Criteria for Awarding Junior Research Fellowships Out of the 43957 candidates qualified for Lectureship eligibility (including JRF), 29780 candidates had applied for JRF, while the slots available for JRF are 3200. These 3200 fellowships have to be distributed among the 29780 candidates who come under the consideration zone for JRF. In order to restrict the number of JRF awardees to around 3200, a
methodology has been evolved for allocation of JRF slots among different subjects category-wise. Complete details given below in the PDF document
