Coming soon: 5 lakh vacancies in public sector banks
There is some good news for all those who want a job in Indian banks. It is being learnt that in the next 2 or 3 years banks will be recruiting nearly 5 lakh candidates at various levels. The following banks would be like:
- Allahabad Bank: 2200 vacancies
- Bank of Baroda: 4000 vacancies
- Bank of Maharashtra: 1870 vacancies
- PNB: 10500 vacancies
- UCO Bank: 2100
- Union Bank of India: 10000
For all these banks the recruitment would be at clerk, PO and specialist officers, for the first two the recruitment would be done through IBPS CWE PO and clerk exam score, whereas for the specialist officers the selection would be done on the basis of one performance in a separate written test.
As for private section bank the news is rather bleak as HSBC has decided to cut 2500 jobs in India within next one year and Citi Bank would also be axing thousands of its employees and Banks will cut more than 125,000 jobs globally.
