Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2011) notification for the academic year 2011-12 has been released. Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodra will be organising institute of GPAT 2011. GPAT scores are essential for admission to M.Pharmacy and Ph.D. in Pharmacy in all types of institutes in the country. From this year, GPAT syllabus has been revised and question pattern will be the same as like in GPAT 2010. Eligible candidates can register online only through www.gpat.in . Application fee is Rs. 1000 for General /OBC students and Rs. 500 for SC/ ST/ PH students categories. GPAT 2011 will consist of 100 Objective multiple choice questions for 100 marks and duration of the exam is 3 hours. There will be negative marking of 1/3 for each wrong answer.

Important Eligibility: B.Pharmacy is the essential qualification to appear for GPAT 2011. The Bachelors course should be 4 years duration after 10+2. Those appearing their final year exams of B.Pharmacy also can appear. Candidates admitted in Masters and Ph.D. programmes through GPAT are eligible for MHRD Scholarships. They are also eligible to work in projects as Junior Research Fellow and also in sponsored projects. The GPAT question paper basically assess aptitude and subject knowledge of the candidates in Pharmacy. Here are some model / sample questions:
