IICT-CDAC Advanced Course in Bioinformatics 2011-2012

Three prestigious education and research Institutions from Andhra Pradesh, IICT, C-DAC and JNTU Hyderabad are jointly conducting Advanced Course in Bioinformatics (ACB). The institutes have issued notification ACB admissions for 2011-2012. The duration of the program is 6 months. The institutes offer quality training as they are provided with excellent infrastructure, advances equipment and quality faculty. The program will be much useful for those interested in Research, Development and Academics along with Corporate jobs. Following are details of eligibility requirements, fee , application procedure and selection process:

Eligibility: Applicants should have any one of the following qualifications:

1. B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science / Chemical Technology / Biotechnology / Pharmacy OR M.B.B.S / B.D.S / B.V.Sc / M.V.Sc OR Post Graduation (M.Sc.,) in Computer Science / Biological Science (Any branch of Life Science) / Environmental Science / Biotechnology /Chemistry / Agricultural Science / Maths /Statistics / Physics.
2. Knowledge in Bioinformatics, Which requires exposure in Biology, Computer Fundamentals and Programming concepts in C Language is preferable. Selection will be based on the performance in Common Entrance Test (CET) to be conducted by IICT. Test will have questions from following sections:

1. Computer Fundamentals: 40 Marks
2. Biology Concepts: 40 Marks
3. General Aptitude Test: 20 Marks

Number of seats are 24 and out of these 6 seats will be allocated for sponsored candidates. Course fee : Rs. 45000 for General seats, Rs. 60000 for sponsored candidates.
