AP to get exemption from NEET - AMS Admissions

 In a move to bring some relief to Intermediate students of the state of Andhra Pradesh preparing for EAMCET - 2012 for admission to MBBS course, the Union minister for Health, Ghulam Nabi Azad has agreed to consider the request of the State government to postpone NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) by two years. The state government has written to the union ministry seeking two year exemption from the NEET as Intermediate curriculum was different from NEET. The state government is proposed to amend the two year Intermediate curriculum and prepare the students for NEET in 2014. It is also observed that the State government has to amend Educational Acts to enable it to switch over to NEET from EAMCET.
