GPAT 2012 Notification, Applications, Model Questions and Exam Pattern

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2012) is an all India Entrance Examination conducted for admission into M.Pharmacy and Ph.D. Programmes in various participating institution. Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodra has conducted last year GPAT examination. GPAT scores will be considered for admission into higher courses in Pharmacy in Government, aided and unaided privated affiliated colleges. GPAT syllabus has been changed last year but question pattern of the exam will be the same as like in earlier GPAT tests. Interested candidatges can register online only through www.gpat.in for GPAT 2012. Details of eligibility, application fee and model questions, results of GPAT 2012 are given below:

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have B.Pharmacy of 4 years duration after 10+2 qualification. Those candidates appearing for final year exams of B.Pharmacy are also eligible to appear for GPAT 2012 examination. Those candidates got admission in M.Pharmacy and Ph.D. in Pharmacy through GPAT 2012 will be eligible for MHRD Scholarships. GPAT qualified candidates are also eligible to work in the government and private industry sponsored projects as Junior Research Fellow. 

GPAT 2012 examination will consist of objective multiple choice type questions which assess aptitude and subject knowledge of the candidates in the discipline of Pharmacy. Some model and sample questions are given below. GPAT 2012 application fee is Rs. 1000 for General and OBC students and Rs. 500 for SC/ ST/ PH categories. There will be 100 objective multiple choice questions for 100 marks. Duration of the exam is 3 hours. There will be negative marking of 1/3 for each wrong answer.

Important Dates for GPAT 2012 (Tentative):

1. Schedule of Online Application Process: January 2012 to February 2012
2. Last date for the receipt printout of online application along with all necessary documents: February 2012
3. GPAT 2012 Examination: May 2012
4. GPAT 2012 Results: Last week of May 2012
