Sri Balaji Vidhyapeeth University(SBVU) - BDS Admission 2014
Eligibility: As per pre-requisite admission to 1 BDS degree course, Candidates must have appeared in SBVUDCET-2014
However, mere appearance in SBVUDCET-2014 will not automatically qualify a candidate for admission to BDS degree course
For admission to BDS degree course, the candidate should fulfil the necessary admission requirements prescribed by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University
Minimum Qualification: Candidate for admission to the first year BDS degree course should have passed the H.Sc (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST) in the following subjects. Candidate must also have taken English as one of the subjects
Biology (Botany & Zoology) / Physics/ Chemistry
Student also should secure 50% marks and above in the common entrance test to be eligible for seeking admission
Age Limit: Candidate should be 17 years of age as on 31st December 2014. However, no upper age limit has been prescribed.
Permitted Number of Appearances in Qualifying Examination
The maximum number of appearances (including first appearance) permitted to pass the qualifying examination for admission to BDS degree course for different categories of candidates are given below. (The appearance for the first time in the qualifying examination is considered as the first appearance)
BDS Course SC/ST: 2, OBC: 1, OBC: 1
Hall Ticket: The Hall Ticket for SBVUDCET-2014, containing the Name, Registration Number and Photograph will be sent to the candidate by post. The Hall Ticket must be produced at the time of Entrance Test. Without the Hall Ticket no candidate will be permitted to write the test.
Duplicate Hall Ticket: If the Hall Ticket is not received by 24th July 2014 the candidate contact “Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences”, Puducherry or write to Secretary, Selection Committee, SBVUDCET-2014 with two passport size photographs and proof of having applied for the test to get the Duplicate Hall Ticket.
Tution Fees: Rs. 6 lakhs per year
Instructions and Guidelines to fill the Application Form
Candidate desirous of appearing for the Common Entrance Test (SBVUDCET-2014) conducted by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University should fill their application in the prescribed format and send directly by post.
Candidates either have to use the application form given along with the Information brochure by the college or downloaded application form from website www.sbvu.ac.in /www.balajitrust.org
Candidates who use the downloaded application form have to pay Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) as a Demand Draft separately towards the cost of the application along with the completed application form
The application and information booklet can also be obtained in person on payment of Rs 1000/- by cash from the College Office or can be obtained by post by sending a requisition along with Demand Draft for Rs 1000/- inclusive of postal charges drawn in favour of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University, Payable at Puducherry
After processing, if found eligible, the Hall Ticket will be sent to the candidate by post
The completed application form should reach the office before 05.00 pm on 18th July 2014. SBVDUDCET 2014 will be not responsible for postal or any other delay. Incomplete / Wrongly filled application will be summarily rejected.
