Job Description :
Associate Application Developer
Work with internal team members on the GIS dashboard, web interface, and tools improvement
Develop a web interface to synchronize with global labs
Develop synchronization tools and scripts for various technologies being used
within GIS labs; maintain developed tools and scripts
Coordinate application development for multiple projects
Develop a platform to integrate the dashboard with different Red Hat products and
tools like Bugzilla, Request Tracker, Beaker, etc.
Work with the Engineering team on the Beaker project to include GIS requirements
Conduct testing and install the code into production
Devise possible solutions to anticipate problems; respond to problems and correct
the applications as necessary
Candidate Profile :
Candidates should posses Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or
another technical degree; relevant experience is preferred
Knowledge of UNIX or Linux programming languages like PHP, Qt, Perl, Python, etc.
Database administration skills
Ability to design a website based on a target audience
Knowledge of Linux is an advantage
Ability to pick up new technologies quickly
Bachelor's degree in a technical field; engineering or computer science background is preferred
Ability to read and interpret English language technical documents
Ability to speak business level English
Good creative thinking skills
Ability to work in a team while meeting strict deadlines
Awareness of international web standards and protocols
